Did anyone feel the earthquake last night? if you live anywhere near Chicago, you might have? It woke me up out of a dead sleep at four am. I was jolted awake when I suddenly dreamed that a car crashed into a tree. i woke up, and realized the room was still shaking! i was so tired, I sleepily wondered if a snow plow had crashed into the house... but when I looked outside I didn't see anything! I thought maybe I dreamed the whole thing.
But in the morning, Marcus told me that he felt it too! Monkeyboy turned on the TV, and there was a news story about the earthquake!
It was so weird to me. I always imagined that an earthquake would just feel like a train going past. but it was so sudden and violent! And this one was tiny compared to earthquakes in places like California, or Haiti!
Later, when Pufferfish woke up, I asked her, "Did you feel the house shaking? There was an earthquake and it made the whole house shake!"
Pufferfish: "No, that was me and Little Bear and Rafael running!"
Yeah, I guess sometimes it does feel like an earthquake when they're all running through the house!!!
I hadn't heard about that earthquake - didn't know they happened in your neck of the woods! Glad it wasn't a bad one!
