If you're reading these posts backwards, and you're wondering whatever happened with that crazy, distraught post I wrote a few days ago, go here!
In the mean time, here are just a few extra things that have happened lately...
I got to see Tigerlily! It was her fifth birthday, and we went to her house for her birthday party! I haven't seen her since September. She was happy to see me, but she acted like no time at all had gone by! When I walked in the door, she just started chatting away to me as usual, and then hugged me and said, "I love you, Nicki!" (I didn't bring my camera that day so I don't have any pictures... but she's getting much taller!)
We found a dog! One day a lady was walking her own dog past her house, and a German Shepherd kept following her. She stopped in front of our house because she didn't want the dog to keep following her and get even more lost. I went outside to talk to her, and she said that the dog had been outside for at least an hour. He was really cold, and shivering! He was very clean, and very sweet, and he was wearing a collar (with no tags) so I knew he must belong to someone. Monkeyboy and Marcus came out with some food and water for him, and he just kept whimpering and shivering, so we ended up bringing him inside. I called Animal Control to tell them that I had found a dog. We were planning on keeping the dog overnight and trying to find his owner, but luckily, I got a phone call right away from someone who said they got my number from Animal Control. It was their dog! They came and picked up the dog, who they said was named DIesel. It turned out they had just gotten him, and he was only fifteen weeks old! He had somehow escaped from their fenced-in backyard, and had decided to explore the neighborhood.
Here Little Bear looks on as Diesel eats all of our dogs' food! (He was very hungry when we found him!)
A closeup of Diesel. I would have used this picture to put on a FOUND DOG poster, but luckily, we didn't need to!
I took Pufferfish to a gymnastics place. We used to go to one that had a trapeze bar and a high jump, and this one didn't have those things. However, it had a rope swing! Pufferfish tried it just once, long enough for me to take this picture, but then she chickened out! She preferred to jump on the trampolines instead!
I've been trying to find extra babysitting jobs to make more money. I sometimes babysit for a little girl named Madeline, who is about 23 months old. Pufferfish knows Madeline because I've brought her along to Madeline's house before, and because Madeline goes to Gymboree on the same day that we do. The last time we went to Gymboree, we saw Madeline. Pufferfish was wearing a Dora The Explorer shirt, and Madeline got all excited and started saying, "Dora! Dora!" Anyway, the following weekend, I was scheduled to babysit MAdeline during the day, and I planned to bring Pufferfish along to play. When I told Pufferfish we were going to see Madeline, she went and gathered up all of her Dora dolls. She picked out the smallest one and said, "I going to give this one to Madeline because her loves Dora!" She was very adnamant that she was going to give that Dora doll to Madeline... but Madeline's mom insisted that she keep her doll. I think she felt bad taking one of Pufferfish's toys away... or maybe she didn't want the ratty thing in her house any longer!
Here is Pufferfish with her three Doras!
Finally, this is just a cute pic of Lily sleeping with the girls on the couch!
Okay, I've got just one more post to write tonight, and then I need a break from blogging!!!
I love German Shepherds. I'm glad this story had a happy ending. And my kids love swinging into a pit of foam.
