Here's A New Online Shopping Option!

A lot of times when I plan my theme weeks for Little Bear and Pufferfish, I think of special things that it would be fun to surprise them with. For instance, during our bird themed week, I got bird sticker books, a CD if bird songs,and binoculars for bird watching. Usually its easiest to shop online to find the exact items I want, for the lowest prices. But sometimes I feel like, when I use websites that allow me to search multiple online stores, I'm only getting to see the items sold by other sites that pay the shopping website to include them!

I've recently discovered a much better online shopping site. Instead of having companies pay them to list products on their site, ShopWiki works as a search engine that searches the entire Internet for products being sold. They make money from their site by using keyword ads on the side and bottom of their site, similar to what many bloggers use on their sidebars. The success of their site depends on providing the best information for customers, not on getting people to buy products through their site.

Why does this make the site the best place to shop online? Well, instead of getting links to only the basic producs you could find on any site, you'll get links to all sorts of unique products. You also have a better chance of finding exactly what you're looking for... even if you're not sure it exists!

For instance, just to try out the site, I did a search for the word "teddy bear" and got 47,223 results. I then filtered by price, bringing it down to 47,096 teddy bears under $100. (The only bad thing is that you can't filter it more than that, so if you're looking for something for under, say, $20, you'll have to browse through a lot of more expensive products!) It is very possible that the results contained every teddy bear being sold at all on the entire Internet,

The site sells all sorts of products, but I use it particularly to find things for the kids. If you're interested in finding unique gifts for kids, very special furniture for your nursery, or some eyecatching clothes for your infant, this is a great site to start shopping!
