Little Bear and Pufferfish are kids who need to stay moving. Especially Little Bear! One of the best things I ever did for her was put the hallway mattress in the living room so she could jump on it! She jumped all day long, off and on, and her behavior actually was better... maybe because she didn't feel so cased in! And she slept better too!
If I had money I would buy Little Bear many more things. Here are a few of the things I hope to someday have for Little Bear and Pufferfish!
These plasma cars don't use batteries or pedals... You have to use your own balance to make them go! They're supposed to be great for excercise, balance, and other sensorimotor needs!
I used to have a real pogo stick when I was a kid... but Little Bear is still pretty little! This one looks like it might be better suited for her!
Monkeyboy used to have a swing in his room, and Little Bear loved it! She would have swung all day long! In fact, he eventually took it down because he didn't want her spending so much time in his room. Her room is too small to fit a swing. But if we ever have a basement, I'm going to put one of these up!
Jumping on the hallway mattress is cool, but I bet Little Bear would really like a little trampoline! In fact, I would use it too, to exercise on! This one folds up, so if you are hard-up for space like we are, you can put it away when its not being used.
This would be a nice thing for Little Bear to have when she's watching TV and stuff, something to help her just sit and relax while still being in motion!
I used to work in a place that had one of these, and I loved it! I would sit on it and spin around! Its a little like a Sit And Spin, but way cooler because it can handle a lot more weight and can go way faster. Kids who love to spin will love this thing!
This is supposed to be great at helping kids develop balance, coordination, and even thinking skills! Plus, unlike other balance boards, this one includes electronic games such as Memory Match, to make it a little more enticing to kids like Little Bear!
Put these on your feet, and who needs to jump on the furniture? With these, your active kids can jump all around the house and yard!
Got any other suggestions? Let me know and I'll add them here!
