Tackle It Tuesday!

I just found out about this meme called Tackle It Tuesday, where each Tuesdays bloggers try to tackle some sort of task, and then share it with the world for moral support. Since I don't have school on Tuesdays anymore for a while, I thought this would be a great time to start Tackling Tuesdays!

My biggest problem is my room. I stay with my mom (Well, I stay with Diana five or six days a week and I stay with my mom one or two days a week, but my stuff is all there at my mom's.) Problem One: My mom has a classic Type A personality, while I am a classic ADHD-head-spinning-disorganized-Type-Z person. Problem Two: I am 28 years old, and have lived on my own many times, for years on end, so I have accumulated apartments worth of things... most of which doesn't fit in my little brother's childhood bedroom. I try to keep things in boxes and stacks, but it all inevitably ends up spread out everywhere.

So my big project is to completely clean and organize my room, in such a way that, when I do move out (at least move my stuff out!) I can have a clean start without so much clutter.

Today I tackled my closet. This may not look so great to you, what with all the coats and bags and stuff, but please realize that several hours ago all of those coats and bags, plus fifty million other things, were on the floor of the closet in a big pile. The drawers and file box weren't there. I got rid of a lot in that closet, and organized the rest! (Click on the picture to see it better!)

 

 
 

I also tackled my bookshelves. I love to read, and I have so many books, they're usually overflowing from the shelves! I packed up all of my CD's to put in my closet, since I keep my music on my Ipod now, and I stacked the CD shelf up on top of my book case, to accomodate more books and take up less space in the room!

Its a pretty good accomplishment, if you ask me!
